NZSTA is looking for a warm, highly organised Membership Engagement Coordinator to support our members, representatives, and volunteers across Aotearoa New Zealand.
This is a part-time remote role for someone who understands service, values relationships, and enjoys keeping systems, communications, and people connections running smoothly.
About the role
- Coordinate membership administration, selected pathway processes, and representative support.
- Draft and coordinate routine communications, including email updates and member notices.
- Support professional development activities, events, and selected public awareness work.
- Help members feel informed, connected, and valued.
We are looking for someone who
- Lives NZSTA’s values in the way they work and relate to others.
- Builds positive, professional relationships with members and volunteers.
- Is confident and dependable with administration and coordination.
- Writes clearly and communicates with warmth and good judgement.
- Is comfortable using digital systems and learning new processes.
- Can work independently in a remote role while staying collaborative and responsive.
It would be great if you also bring
- Experience in a membership organisation, professional body, not-for-profit, or allied health setting.
- Experience supporting events, volunteers, committees, or representative networks.
- Familiarity with Canva, survey tools, or basic digital reporting.
- Knowledge of speech-language therapy, health, disability, or education sectors.

Role details
- 20 hours per week
- Remote within Aotearoa New Zealand
- Reports to the Executive Director
- Occasional travel may be required
